First 2014 Ram, Lamb Arrives at the Double S Sheep Ranch

Welcome to our first ram lamb! This little guy arrived in the early morning of February 26, 2014. North Country Cheviots are tough and resiliant. After the lamb is born the mother is up and cleaning the mouth and airways of the baby lamb. This breed has an excellent survival rate compared to other breeds of sheep. North Country Cheviots ewes exhibit a "superior mothering instinct and the lambs are vigorous at birth."
