I own this wok and I love it! I really enjoy cooking with quality cast iron and Lodge is one of the few companies that produces a quality cast iron. If you had difficulty in the past then all you need a a short course on seasoning and cleaning cast iron.Check out this video.
I enjoy the the speed and just working with the cast iron. Stir fry is a snap and food is done to perfection. This is the tool for steady heat, high temperature cooking, and/or searing capability. I scoop food out rather than pick the wok up and tip it out. Once you get used to it you will reach for the cast iron wokfirst. I use the Ov gloves, the pair, when working with cast iron.
